On Verge Of Getting Blown Out By Durham, Brennan Confirms That FISA Mistakes Were Made [Opinion]

The title of this piece has been updated to highlight the fact that this is an opinion article, and to address that idea that Brennan did not so much ‘confess’ as he did ‘confirm’ the FISA abuses on behalf of the FBI.

Opinion| Mark Sidney|  Never for the life of me will I ever understand why Obama’s former CIA Director, a man who admittedly voted for the Communist Party, John Brennan, has been so vocal, outspoken, and in your face about the abuses that he swears did not occur during Obama’s reign, as well as afterwards.

Night after night, the man, resembling a tyranical villain straight out of Hollywood’s central casting, keeps calling attention to himself in an apparent effort to get out in front of all the **** that is currently being exposed by team Trump and the honest members of the FBI and DOJ.

Brennan knows that the Horowitz report was just the beginning, and seeing as he did not work for the DOJ or FBI, his involvement (alleged) in the operation to sabotage Trump, is yet to be revealed.

Those of us who have been following the developments closely are suspecting that John Brennan will be named as the point-man in what we believe was essentially a ‘pre-emptive coup’ of President Trump.

Lending further credence to our suspicions, Brennan was back on TV with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, this past Tuesday.

Brennan finally admitted that “there were mistakes” in the applications submitted to the FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court) seeking permission to spy on then, Donald Trump campaign adviser, Carter Page.

“Well clearly, there were mistakes made based on the inspector general’s reports,”… “And I know that a lot of people attribute it either to incompetence or politicization. Well, I might just attribute it to, these were FBI agents who were doing their level best to try to prevent Russian interference in the election,” Obama’s former CIA Director admitted.

“They were probably overly aggressive, they didn’t pay careful enough attention to some of the details, they may have ignored some aspects of the work that was uncovered,” Brennan went on. “But I think the IG was very clear that politicization did not seem to creep into any aspect of their work, either at the initiation of the investigation or throughout.”

While Brennan tried to claim that politics played no role in the quest to kill Trump’s campaign (a assertion that only the most egotistical, baldfaced liar could make with a straight face) this absurdity of the lie only proves just how dumb Brennan thinks the average American is.

The Western Journal reported: ‘Contrary to Brennan’s characterization, Horowitz did not state politicization played no role in how the FBI conducted Crossfire Hurricane, only that the bureau followed proper procedures in opening it.

The Wall Street Journal’s Daniel Henninger noted that the IG reported that Horowitz’s investigation unearthed no “documentary or testimonial evidence” of anti-Trump bias in the conduct of Crossfire Hurricane.

“But one has to be obtuse to read this report and not see its authors are incredulous at the idea that the only explanation possible is incompetence and misjudgment on an unimaginable scale by trained FBI professionals. As Mr. Horowitz puts it with almost bemused understatement, ‘We did not receive satisfactory explanations for the errors or problems we identified,'” Henninger wrote.

Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume argued earlier this week that the FBI committed a “series of errors,” all of which “pointed in the same direction, all negative for the president.”

“Exculpatory information that was known to FBI people was kept out or kept away from the FISA judges,” Hume said. “This, to any definition, is misconduct.”

The presiding judge of the FISA court, in a rare public order, took the FBI to task on Tuesday for its conduct in obtaining a warrant to surveil Page.

“The FBI’s handling of the Carter Page applications, as portrayed in the [Office of Inspector General] report, was antithetical to the heightened duty of candor described above,” FISA court presiding Judge Rosemary M. Collyer wrote in her order.’

Brennan knows that his ass will soon be the one on the chopping block.  I do not think a lot of people are seriously expecting Obama to be indicted (we may all be hoping, but the reality is that it is very unlikely), I can see Brennan being made to be the fall guy for this failed coup.

I can also see Brennan singing like a Jonas Brother in order to save his ass, or, conversely, I can see his ‘friends’ deciding he has out lived his usefulness and … arrange for his …. final scene.

Time will tell how this all ends up, but my money is on Brennan having a very disappointing 2020 in front of him …
